ASD Mission: Help superyachts Owners, Guests, Captains, and Crews to enjoy their yachts while minimizing risks by improving the superyacht security.
Founded by the Hellenic Navy Captain Dimitrios Raftogiannis, and Designer Pablo Ferrero, ASD offers exclusively to the superyacht sector the first and most advanced military level security services. ASD is a state-of-the-art superyacht security company that offers our clients bespoke services and solutions for their yachts.
ASD's education team is composed of a carefully selected group of Captains with real military experience and the highest level of education. At ASD, we believe that educating crew members is the most valuable approach to improving a yacht's security. A well-trained crew will be able to identify and prevent a good deal of security breaches. Between the broad education services that we offer, Superyacht Security Seminars and Clinics are the best tools for keeping Captains and crews trained about various, effective approaches to superyacht security.
We believe education is the key to preventing all security threats, so we focus on teaching essential skills that will help keep the superyacht community safe.

DESIGNER PABLO FERRERO
CEO
Pablo Ferrero is an Argentine Yacht Master and Sailing National runner-up in 1990. Sailor, swimmer, diver, windsurfer, skier, always had a particular passion for watersports and sea life. Graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, with masters in Corporate Communication and American Design. Founder and CEO of FWC a US-based communication agency, and founder and director of NAVIS Luxury Yacht Media. During the last ten years, he has built a unique and extensive contact network in the superyacht community, with personal communication with the directors of all major shipyards and superyacht designers around the world, and a close relationship with distinguished members of this same community. Author of two books about superyacht design, NAVIS One published in 2015 and NAVIS Two published in 2017. Through NAVIS Media Network, Pablo Ferrero has a permanent communication channel with the luxury yachting community of the Americas, with contact in all major yacht clubs, marinas, and associations in North, Central, and South America. Director and publisher of ASPIS the first publication specialized in Superyacht Security and Co-founder of ASD. Founder and manager of major companies in the United States, Argentina, Panama, and Ireland. He speaks Spanish, English, Italian, and Portuguese.
CAPTAIN DIMITRIOS RAFTIOGIANNIS
General Manager
Dimitris Raftogiannis is a Captain in Hellenic Navy, graduated from the Hellenic Naval Academy in 1990. His experience includes service onboard Frigates and various types of Guided Missile Boats as Captain and Executive Officer. He was appointed Director of the Hellenic Fleet Operations Center for many years where he gained invaluable and vast experience on special operations, anti – terrorism, deterrence strategy, crisis management, intelligence analysis. He also served as Director of Studies at the Hellenic Naval War College. He lectures on Leadership in the Hellenic Naval Academy, the Hellenic Naval War College and senior Managers of major companies in Greece and Europe. He is Co - director of ASPIS the first publication specialized in Superyacht Security and Co-founder and General Manager of ASD. He holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, a Master equivalent on National Security Policy and Strategy from Supreme War College, HNDGS, and a BA in International Relations & Negotiations from Athens University. He is a Marine Auditor, a Yachtmaster Offshore - Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and possesses all the Maritime and Yachting related certificates. He speaks English and French.
CAPTAIN EFSTATHIOS PSARIADIS
Manager of Risk Management Department
Efstathios (Stathis) Psariadis is a Captain (Ret) Hellenic Navy, graduated from the Hellenic Naval Academy in 1990. His experience includes service onboard Frigates, Destroyers and Mine Warfare Vessels as Captain, Executive Officer and Operations Officer. He was appointed for many years as Director of Departments of the Hellenic Fleet Command and Hellenic Navy General staff where he gained invaluable and vast experience on all aspects of maritime operations and on the interaction and Co-operation of Maritime Forces with the Mercantile Marine and the Coast Guard. He was appointed as staff officer Subject Matter Expert Naval Operations & Plans to NATO Joint Warfare Center. As of 2013 he is a civilian contractor scenario scripter and role-player of NATO Operational HQs’ exercises.
CAPTAIN NIKOLAOS KASIMATIS
Manager of Security Department
Nick Kasimatis graduated from the Hellenic Naval Academy on 1990. He served in all types of Fast Patrol Boats, including the new-constructed Super Vita type HS DANIOLOS as Commanding Officer. He has an extended and specialized professional education, beyond others, by the FOST (Flag Officer Sea Training), UK NAVY on piracy, intruders, VIP protection and immigrant handling. He has the YACHTMASTER OFFSHORE diploma by RYA, all the Maritime and Yachting related certificates, Master in Science of Management from SALVE REGINA Uni. RI, USA, and 21st Century Governance in an Era of New American Leadership courses from HARVARD UNIVERSITY, MA USA. He speaks English, French and Italian.
